Travels with Kathryn

Since my return in January 2024, unsurprisingly, I have done a little bit of travelling.

Las Vegas- May 2024

As part of my turning 40 year of celebrations, I did have a few trips planned, and one of these that had been planned for some time – a trip to Las Vegas with my best friend Wenna.

Florida – September 2024

Yes, part of being a 40-year old single childless woman is deciding that if you want to go to Orlando to Disney World and Universal Studios than you shall go. You can even take another grown up with you.

Disneyland Paris – November 2024

Paris – January 2025

Just a short pitstop whilst one of my friends from Geneva was in town. Silpa continues to try and educate me in the taking of selfies – it’s a losing battle.

Spain- March 2025

With my old people now being the proud owners of a Spanish house, I went to visit. But, in classic Kathryn style I proved it is possible to travel (without flying) all the way to almost their house:

• London to Portsmouth (train)
• Portsmouth to Bilboa (ferry)
• Bilboa to Valencia via Madrid (train)
• Valencia to Ondara (bus)

OK, then I did need to be collected by car but this was only a 15 minute trip down the mountain for them.

New York – May 2025

To celebrate leaving my job, Steph kindly sacrificed herself to travel with me again, to go see Hugh Jackman in New York (twice – in his one man show, and in a play). We had a Hughmungous time!

So, I did manage to get a couple of trips in during the past year or so. Particular thanks goes out to Wenna and Steph, who also accompanied me whilst in the USA on a number of trips to Old Navy to buy my travelling wardrobe. You are likely to recognise a number of garments on my next big adventure!
